Crafting
Crafting in Revival RSC gains a new line of jewellery in crowns, a new gem, leather you can tan yourself and the materials for the best armour in the game.
This page covers what is new or different in Revival RSC. Everything else about the skill works as it did in the original RuneScape Classic.
Crowns
Crowns are made at a furnace from a gold bar, a gem and a crown mould, which is sold by the crafting shops in Al Kharid and Rimmington. Enchanting a crown with the matching jewellery spell gives it a skilling effect.

Rings of recoil, splendor, forging, life, wealth and avarice are made by enchanting ordinary sapphire, emerald, ruby, diamond and dragonstone rings.
When you only carry one mould and one kind of gem, using a gold bar on a furnace makes the item straight away instead of opening a menu.
Leather
Cow hides can be tanned by hand instead of paying a tanner:
- Use a knife on raw meat to get animal fat.
- Use a hammer on a cow hide with the fat in your inventory to make a treated hide (12.5 experience).
- Use the treated hide on a fire or fireplace to make leather (31.25 experience). Ranges and furnaces are too hot.
