Peeling the Onion is a free-to-play quest exclusive to Revival RSC. Kresh, an ogre living in Lumbridge Swamp, has been eating the eyes of every newt and frog he can find, ruining the wizards' supply of spell ingredients. He throws any human out of his swamp, so the head wizard has a plan: turn you into an ogre.

No coins are needed unless you lose your ogre ears, in which case Aggie charges 20 coins for new clay.

Walkthrough

Starting out

Talk to Sedridor in the basement of the Wizards' Tower, south of Draynor Village, and ask "Do you have anything you need doing?". If you have completed Rune Mysteries the option reads "Do you have any other quests for me?". He explains that an ogre is eating all the newt and frog eyes and asks you to have a word with him.
Talk to Kresh in Lumbridge Swamp. He shouts "Get out of my SWAMP!" and refuses to talk to a human.
Return to Sedridor and choose "I've been to see the ogre". He suggests having you turned into an ogre. Agree with "Yeah okay, that sounds great!". If you ask where to go he gives directions, and offers to teleport you there – the teleport lands by the dark wizards' tower, so walk instead if you are low level.

You can also start the quest by talking to Kresh first and then asking Sedridor whether he has been sending people to bother an ogre.

Becoming an ogre

Talk to the Make-over Mage, north-west of the Crafting Guild, and ask "I'm wondering if you could make me look like an ogre?". He hands you a makeover waiver and does not charge.
Read the waiver and choose "Sign the waiver". If you lose it the mage gives you another, but you will have to sign it again.
Talk to the mage again and choose "Yes, and I'm ready. Here's the waiver.". He turns you green – but the spell misses your ears. He suggests sculpting a pair from coloured clay and sends you to Aggie.

The ears and the vest

Talk to Aggie the witch in Draynor Village and ask "What do you need for the sculpting clay?".
Bring her 1 soft clay, 4 onions and 1 woad leaf. She makes soft yellowgreen clay free of charge.
Right-click Shape on the clay and confirm. This needs level 5 Crafting, makes the ogre ears and gives 50 Crafting experience.
Use a knife on leather armour to cut it into a leather vest.

If you lose the clay or the ears, Aggie will make more clay for the same ingredients plus 20 coins.

Winning Kresh over

Wear the ogre ears and the leather vest and talk to Kresh. Without the ears he calls you an earless freak, and without the vest he refuses to talk.
He asks why you are in his home. Choose "Could you stop eating all the newts please?" – or "I'm selling magazines" followed by "Cooking". The other answers are jokes and do not advance the quest, but there is no penalty for trying them.
Kresh wants new recipes. Go back to Sedridor's room in the Wizards' Tower basement and search the bookcase to tear out a page of ogre recipes. If you lose the page you can take another.
Wearing your ogre ears, give the recipes to Kresh and choose "Yes, here you go".
