Dwarf Youth Rescue is a miniquest exclusive to Revival RSC. It does not appear in the quest list or give quest points, but it unlocks the dwarves' lava forge and with it the ability to make dragon scale mail, the best body armour in the game.

Gramat, a dwarf at the Dwarf Cannon camp, is frantic: his son has wandered into the dwarves' newest excavation, a lava cavern deep beneath the Dwarven Mine – and it is guarded by a Balrog.

• Good armour and food. As well as the Balrog, the cavern holds black demons, greater demons, poison spiders and shadow spiders.

Walkthrough

1. Talk to Gramat at the Dwarf Cannon camp. With Dwarf Cannon complete, he asks you to find his son, who is "just inside the mines" down a ladder.
2. Enter the Dwarven Mine and climb down the ladder to the lava cavern. The ladder only lets you through once you have spoken to Gramat.
3. Collect both halves of the boy's teddy:
   • The teddy body lies on the cavern floor, and respawns if someone else has taken it.
   • The teddy head is always dropped by the Balrog.
4. Talk to the Dwarven Youth with both halves in your inventory. He refuses to leave without his teddy being mended, asks you to give it to his father, and teleports you back up to the Dwarven Mine. You keep the halves.
5. Use a needle on either half, with both halves and thread in your inventory, to stitch them into a teddy. This needs level 15 Crafting and uses one thread. The halves cannot be sewn together until you have spoken to the boy.
6. Give the mended teddy to Gramat. He hands you the dwarf smithy note.

Rewards

• The dwarf smithy note, which lists the recipe for dragon scale mail
• Permanent access to the lava cavern, along with its forge and anvil:
  • The lava forge melts dragon weapons down into dragon bars at level 90 Smithing
  • The lava anvil turns each dragon bar into 50 dragon metal chains at level 90 Smithing
• Wayne, at Wayne's Chains in Falador, will now make dragon scale mail for you

Making dragon scale mail

You need	How to get it
500 dragon metal chains	10 dragon bars, smithed on the lava anvil at level 90 Smithing. A dragon sword, dragon medium helmet or dragon dagger melts into 1 bar on the lava forge, and a dragon axe into 2.
150 chipped dragon scales	30 King Black Dragon scales, each split into 5 with a chisel at level 90 Crafting.
500,000 coins	Wayne's fee.

Take everything to Wayne and ask for help with "a special armour".
