Ranged in Revival RSC gains a new top tier in the dragon longbow and dragon arrows, its own potions, and a way to stop losing arrows.

This page covers what is new or different in Revival RSC. Everything else about the skill works as it did in the original RuneScape Classic.

Dragon longbow and dragon arrows

[edit]

The dragon longbow needs level 60 Ranged and is half as accurate again as a magic longbow. It fires every kind of arrow, and is the only bow that can fire dragon arrows, which hit half as hard again as rune arrows. Both are dropped by the Valkor rangers that appear during the Valkor fight, and neither can be fletched.

Bow Accuracy Best arrows it can fire
Shortbow 10 Iron
Longbow, oak shortbow 15 Iron, or steel for oak
Oak longbow, willow shortbow 20 Steel, or mithril for willow
Willow longbow, maple shortbow 25 Mithril, or adamantite for maple
Maple longbow, yew shortbow 30 Adamantite
Yew longbow, magic shortbow 35 Rune
Magic longbow 40 Rune
60 Dragon
Arrows Strength
Bronze 15
Iron 20
Steel 25
Mithril 30
Adamantite 35
Rune 40
60

Longbows, including the dragon longbow, shoot from 5 tiles away; shortbows and crossbows from 4. Arrows are worn in their own ammunition slot in the equipment tab.

Keeping your arrows

[edit]

Each arrow you fire has a 6 in 7 chance to land on the ground under your target, and is otherwise lost. With a Ring of avarice worn, the arrows that survive go straight back into your quiver instead of onto the floor. This works for thrown weapons too.

Ranging potions

[edit]
Potion Herblaw level Boost per dose
83 Ranged +5 and 15%
93 Ranged +6 and 17%
98 Ranged, Attack, Strength, Defense and Magic +10 and 22%

Other changes

[edit]
  • The Ranged cape gives a 12% chance of a double-strength shot followed by a much faster next shot. Only one arrow is used. It works with thrown weapons too. Sold by Lowe in Varrock at level 99.
  • Poison dragon arrows and poisoned thrown weapons can poison monsters, not just players.
  • Life Sap heals you from ranged damage.
  • Valkor can only be hurt by ranged or magic while he is on his perch, and his rangers' arrows are blocked completely by Protect from Missiles.
