Uses
Use an energy on the gem to enchant it into an enchanted primordial sonic gem. This requires level 80 Slayer, the Primordial gems (1,500 points) unlock from a slayer master and 5,000 nascent energy, 2,500 prime energy, 750 elder energy, 75 primordial energy, and gives 6,250 Slayer experience.
An unenchanted gem can instead be sold to any slayer master for 625 Slayer experience.
