With the ''Boss instances'' [[Slayer#Unlocks|slayer unlock]] (100 points), the lever into a boss's lair offers a '''private instance''' – your own copy of the boss for '''one hour'''.

* Drops inside an instance are visible only to you, and bosses respawn faster than in the open world.
* You can leave and '''rejoin''' while the timer runs. A warning appears with 5 minutes left, after which no more bosses spawn.
* You can only have '''one instance''' at a time. Creating a new one ends the old one, and anything left on the ground inside it is lost.
* Wearing a boss's own [[Custom items#Boss capes|cape]] cuts its instance cost by 25%, 50% or 75%, and any combined boss cape makes every instance cost 1,000 coins.
* Typing <code>::timeleft</code> will tell you how long your instance has left.
