== What being in a clan does ==
* Your '''clan tag''' appears before your name in public chat as <code>[TAG] Name</code>, and before your name in [[Settings and social#Global chat|global chat]].
* With the '''Name and Clan Tag''' option switched on, tags float beneath the names above players' heads.
* Clanmates who are online appear as '''magenta dots''' on the minimap, slightly larger than other players.
* The clan tab shows at a glance who is online. Right-click a member to message them or add them as a friend.

Clans are purely social: they do not share experience or loot, and clanmates can still attack each other in the Wilderness. The kills, deaths, clan points and matches shown in the clan window are not currently in use.
